Salty Minds

Founded by Tasmanian big-wave surfer and storyteller Marti Paradisis, Salty Minds began with a simple idea. To preserve and share the stories of Tasmania through beautifully crafted books for children and adults. Every book created is inspired by real Tasmanian experiences. The children's books encourage learning, through exploring the outdoors, connecting with nature and allowing children to evolve. The coffee table and travel books document the history, people and extraordinary waves of Tasmania through powerful storytelling and photography, preserving a unique part of our island's surfing heritage.

The books are conceived, written and designed in Tasmania, in collaboration with talented local artists, photographers and designers. Every story is authentic, every location is real, and every page reflects our deep connection to Tasmania.
