50 years of history

On 22 January 1972, the first official Salamanca Market was run at Salamanca Place by the Hobart City Council.

Although the 50 year anniversary fell on 22 January 2022, the original celebrations were postponed due to Covid. The new date in December included a full day of speeches, music and entertainment and was an opportunity for the community to celebrate the market.
