Alice Hansen is a seventh‑generation Tasmanian with a deep love for her island home. Based in Hobart, she’s a travel writer and storyteller who has authored more than a dozen titles. She is available for personal signings at Salamanca Market (site 44).
She’s the founder of Tailored Tasmania, a launch pad for exploring Tassie like a local, and built a Grand Designs Australia‑featured pod described as a love letter to the island. Her latest Tailored Tasmania edition draws on local insider travels, where she’s also written features for National Geographic Traveller, Gourmet Traveller, and Australian Traveller.
Alice is the author of Tassie Devils & Marshmallows, now in its eighth print run, along with other best‑selling children’s titles that have raised more than $11,000 for the Tassie Devil Appeal - continuing her mission to give back to the place that inspires her most.
