Day of the Dead Festival

Salamanca Market is helping to promote the Day of the Dead Festival in Hobart which will be held on Saturday 5 November, at the Hobart Uni Bar.

The Day of the Dead event is promoted across Australia, with the support of the Mexican Embassy in Australia, and invites all of the Mexican community to celebrate the Day of the Dead 2022 in Tasmania. This year there is a truly extraordinary and authentic Mexican Mariachi band that will be the highlight of the festival. 

Victor Valdes' Mariachi Band is an authentic 12-piece Mariachi band with dancers, and represents a a rare opportunity to experience an authentic Mariachi Show in Tasmania.

The Victor Valdes' Mariachi Band will be making a special appearance at the Salamanca Market on Saturday 5 November for a short action packed performance. 

The Day of the Dead Festival marquee will be at Salamanca Market in the lead up to the event and you can learn about the festival, get your face painted, purchase tickets and see some of the roving artists and dancers in catrina dresses and makeup.
