Salamanca Market offers a FREE site to Tasmanian registered charities. To express your interest, please read the guidelines below, and then complete our online form.

 

Salamanca Market and Tasmania's Own Market Charity Stall guidelines: 

Who can apply?

Registered charities that are based in Tasmania including national charities that have a Tasmanian branch, and that can provide a public liability certificate of currency for a minimum of $10,000,000 cover.

Can my charity collect donations at the Salamanca Market?

Yes, subject to any requirements of the Tasmanian Government. More information can be located at the Consumer, Building and Occupational Services website. 

Where is the charity site located?

The charity site is usually located in the centre of the market backing onto the Salamanca Lawns, but this may change.

What does the site look like?

The site is approximately four metres square and can fit 4 to 5 people and a 3 m x 3 m tent. You are provided with the site and a trestle table, however, you will need to bring your own chairs. A 3 m x 3 m tent, signs and banners may be used at the site.

Is there a fee for the charity site?

The site is provided free of charge.

How many times per year can my organisation attend the market?

The market prefers to limit an organisation's bookings to a maximum of twice a year, but this may be waived based on demand.

Please note, Salamanca Market does not allow the use of balloons on the charity stall. Salamanca Market is also a plastic bag, plastic straw-free zone and only 100% compostable packaging is permitted for charity stall participants.
