The onsite Salamanca Market information booth is a great place to start your visit at the market.
The information booth is open from 8.30 am to 3 pm and is operated by the award-winning staff from the Tasmanian Travel and Information Centre. You can pick up a Salamanca Market map or buy a history of Salamanca Market book and at the same time, pick up great tips about the variety of products and stallholders at the market.
If you are a visitor to Tasmania, you can book accommodation anywhere in Tasmania, ask about things to see and do during your trip, book tickets for tours and browse a range of travel brochures and Salamanca Market merchandise.
The Salamanca Market has a dedicated crew responsible for the set-up, pack-up and smooth running of the market every Saturday. Crew members are easily identified by the orange high visibility vests or jackets with 'Market Crew' written on the back. Our friendly crew members can provide help if you need it. All you need to do is ask.
