Coronavirus update

After careful consideration, the City of Hobart has made the difficult decision to close the Salamanca Market for the next two weeks.

This will mean that the market will not be open on Saturday 21 & 28 March 2020.

As the situation continues to develop, we will work closely with government agencies and our expert staff to determine whether the market needs to remain closed.

We would like to thank our stallholders and customers for your ongoing patience and understanding in this very challenging and rapidly evolving situation.

If you feel unwell, have questions or are unsure about the risks

The Public Health Hotline is the best source for any general or clinical advice relating to the coronavirus: 1800 671 738 or 1800 022 222. This is also the number you should call if you are concerned that you may have been exposed to the coronavirus.
